Yes! Nowy Kościół in the Kaczawa Foothills is one of the best places in Poland to observe the northern lights. Thanks to dark skies and no light pollution, the aurora is regularly photographed here. We have photos as proof.

Is the property open in winter?

Yes, we are open all year round. In winter we especially recommend evenings by the campfire, northern lights watching and peaceful walks. All attractions in the Land of Extinct Volcanoes are accessible year-round.

Since 1999, the Widomski family has welcomed guests with passion in the heart of the Land of Extinct Volcanoes. This is no ordinary guesthouse — it is a home where every guest feels truly at ease.

A quarter century of experience has taught us one thing: guests return when they feel truly cared for. We attend to every detail — from home-cooked meals and spotless rooms to personal tips on what to explore nearby.

Our estate offers 13 carefully furnished rooms, private recreational ponds with wooden jetties, a volcanic pool and a garden with a barbecue pavilion — all set in a tranquil valley surrounded by basalt hills.

On the estate you will also find a volcanic pool on the slopes of Góra Jeziorna — a natural remnant of ancient geological activity, one of very few such places in Poland.

The well-known musical duo Golec uOrkiestra visited our farm many times during their concerts in Złotoryja. The musicians slept, ate and rested with us — and made no secret of their delight.

"At Zygmunt's — they wrote in the guest book — this is for us the most beautiful cottage in which we rest."
